Combined PT & CT Transformer
1. Scope of application
The Combined Instrument Transformer is an integrated device housing both a Voltage Transformer (PT) and a Current Transformer (CT). It serves to convert high voltage and large current in power systems into standardized low voltage (typically 100 V) and reduced current (5 A or 1 A), enabling precise metering, measurement, and control by energy meters, instrumentation, and protection devices.
Outdoor PT & CT Combined Transformers are specifically engineered for exterior environments. They feature weather-resistant structures (e.g., epoxy resin cast housing) with rainproof, dustproof, and corrosion-resistant properties, ensuring reliable operation under harsh climatic conditions.
With the evolution of smart grids, Combined Instrument Transformers are emerging as a transformative trend in integrated device technology.
